Malankara Evangelical Church of Kuwait conducted one day camp on Friday 30th June 2023.The theme for the camp was Over The Ocean which ultimately focused on teaching people how to overcome real-life obstacles. Assemblies Of God Pastor KK Varghese was the chief guest for the camp. The camp commenced at 11:30 am with an opening prayer by Very Rev Prajeesh Mathew followed by a welcome speech from Sister Pressana Chandran. Officially the camp was inaugurated by chief guest Pastor KK Varghese who gave a brief class based on Over the Ocean which was focused on how to live a Christian life in this fast-paced challenging world by showing real-life faith heroes from Bible who abided in Jesus Christ. Very Rev Prajeesh Mathew is not only a priest but also a professional clinical psychologist who has dealt with many people all around the world finding that many are struggling with depression and the statistics of such cases are rising day by day. On the basis of it, Very Rev Prajeesh Mathew had taken a special class on how to deal with depression as an expat for the one-day camp. Which gave a real life-changing boost and motivation for many people who were part of the camp. All the church members showed up there talents and skills by performing various programs like skits and singing songs. Later on, various other games were also conducted which bought a huge entertainment in the camp. A team led by Convener Sonat Justin and Joint Convener Pressana Chandran was on the front lead to make the camp successful. The other Supporting members are Jincy Joseph, Cinimol Chacko, Jaswin, Ragil Raj , Nanda Kumar, Tency Johnson, Jithin and Jacob Shaji who back supported the one-day camp to make it a grand successful event for the year 2023-2024.
